Katharine Harpley, PAC
Katharine (Kit) received her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, in 2004. Prior to joining the Pain Medicine Service at the Cleveland VA, Katharine held the position of Academic Coordinator of the Physician Assistant Studies Program at the University of Mount Union and worked in the fields of adult and pediatric cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, reproductive gynecology, and primary care. Since 2011, Katharine has been an integral member of the VA SCAN-ECHO Project managing curriculum development, coordinating guest speakers, and helping with data collection. For her work on this project, she was presented with the Department of Veterans Affairs Under Secretary for Health Priority Award in 2016. In 2017, she assumed the role of grant writing and grant management for the department. Her effective managerial skills landed her the role of managing the current conference.
